Following the success of the 2011 DDK European Tour, DDK have again joined forces with 1st Tickets, official agents of the Automobile Club de L’Ouest (ACO) to offer club camping packages for the 2012 Le Mans Classic. Relive the Le Mans of years gone by at the sixth Le Mans Classic whilst enjoying good company with fellow club members in the Club Camping area on Karting Nord (to be comfirmed).

Held every two years the Le Mans Classic continues to grow and is one of the largest classic sports car events on the calendar. The six grids cover Le Mans race cars from 1923 right through to 1979. Each grid competes in a series of races from 15:00hrs on Saturday throughout the 24 Hours with the final race finishing at 15:00 hrs on the Sunday. The event attracts over 100,000 visitors to the circuit with almost 1000 drivers and 400 cars competing on the track. At each event the club presence has grown and over 8,200 club cars are expected to be on display around the Buggatti Circuit. Friday will be practice day with day and night sessions for each grid starting from 15:00hrs. For the race itself there are 396 cars split over 6 grids, which then race for 24 hours, three rounds in turn.

Karting Nord is located on the infield of the circuit and is a short distance from the main grandstands, paddock and Bugatti circuit. It is also possible to watch the cars from the front of the campsite. This campsite is exptected to be designated for clubs camping together, but is yet to be confirmed by the circuit. Whichever site is used there will be shared toilet and shower facilities.  The DDK camping area will be made up of a series of marked out pitches, but the club is then free to organise the area as it wishes.

Parade Laps and Porsche Parking Area: As in 2010, we expect that Porsche Club France will be co-ordinating parade laps and infield parking. Once we know from the organisers about the arrangments and prices for these elements of the event, we will inform the club and publish details here on the website.
